How to organize your kitchen for an efficient return to school
With the arrival of autumn, many of us want to tidy up our homes and better organize our storage.
Indeed, it quickly becomes cluttered due to everything you can find there, from kitchen utensils to food and household items. For a tidy and functional kitchen, here are some smart ideas.
Similar pots for everything
Buy a large quantity of identical containers in different sizes. This will be your starting point for better pantry organization. Everything will fit in these labeled containers: flour, raisins, oatmeal, chia seeds, various snacks, etc.
Why do this when these ingredients already come in their own packaging? It will also be more convenient to arrange the jars in the cupboards without causing any mess.
Removable dividers for drawers
Let’s face it, kitchen drawers can quickly become a mess. Plastic organizers can come to the rescue!
Thanks to their versatility, they allow you to create different compartments – of varying sizes – in kitchen drawers. This makes it easier to store items of the same type together.
Pot lid storage
The pan area can become cluttered and disorganized. The reason behind this chaos? Their lids are difficult to store and take up a lot of space.
One trick is to get some adhesive plastic hooks. Stick three of them to an interior wall to form a circle to hold a lid. Do the same for all the lids, adjusting the dimensions of the circle.
A pegboard
Pegboard is often used in the garage. Installing hooks and shelves on it makes it easy to organize tools.
Why not use it in your home too? In the kitchen, hang cups, pans, and utensils on it.
A garbage bag dispenser
Trash bags, both large and small, are essential in the kitchen and are often stored under the sink. And they take up space!
To overcome this situation, install a toilet paper holder on the inside wall of the cabinet: all you have to do is insert the roll of bags. The idea seems crazy, but it’s ultra practical!
A bowl for utensils
Wooden spoons, spatulas, and other utensils with handles can get stuck in the drawer. Plus, they often create visual chaos. Take them out and place them in a pretty container on the counter.
A vertical plate rack
To free up space, use a graceful and stylish vertical rack. If your plates all have the same look, it can even be placed in plain sight on the island or countertop.
